María Laura Martínez (1967) Ph.D. in Philosophy from Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina). Member of the National System of Researchers and researcher under Full-Time Regime at Universidad de la República (Udelar, Uruguay). Serves as Full Professor in the Department of Philosophy and History of Science, Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences (Udelar). Author of the books: Texture in the Work of Ian Hacking. Michel Foucault as the Guiding Thread of Hacking’s Thinking (2021); Realismo científico y verdad como correspondencia; estado de la cuestión (2009) y 75 años en la formación de los ingenieros nacionales. Historia de la Facultad de Ingeniería (1885-1960) (2014). Her areas of interest are the History of Science, Philosophy of Science, and History of Science in Uruguay.
