PhD candidate in History at Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP/Franca), Master’s degree and Bachelor of Arts and Teacher Education in History (2017) from the same university. Between 2019 and 2021, I developed a master’s research project on the history of historiography entitled: O discurso sobre o negro na historiografia e na etnografia do IHGB (1839-1925), under the supervision of Professor Dr. Karina Anhezini de Araujo, which was funded by FAPESP. I also conducted an undergraduate research project in the history of historiography entitled: O negro como objeto de estudo na RIHGB: de meados do século XIX às primeiras décadas republicanas, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Karina Anhezini de Araujo, which was funded by the FAPESP. Currently, I am conducting doctoral research on Brazilian historiography: Entre a “Casa da Memória Nacional” e o ruído da prensa: o negro na retórica da nacionalidade do IHGB e da Imprensa Negra (1833-1937), under the supervision of Professor Dr. Karina Anhezini de Araujo and funded by FAPESP. Awarded a Research Abroad Internship Scholarship (BEPE) in 2025, I carried out the internship at Universidade de Lisboa with the Centro de História da Faculdade de Letras on the project “Quais passados devemos (re)ter? Usos do passado negro no IHGB e na imprensa negra (1833-1937)”, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Sérgio Campos Matos.
