Biography:
Full Professor at Instituto de História and the Graduate Program in History of Universidade Federal de Uberlândia. Graduated in History from Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (2001), Master’s degree (2004) and Doctorate (2008) in Social History from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Completed a junior postdoctoral fellowship at UFRJ (2008), and also completed a postdoctoral internship at Université Paris 1 – Panthéon Sorbonne / France (2013-2014). Invited researcher (2019) at the Laboratoire de Démographie et d’Histoire Sociale of École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (2019). Has expertise in Social History of crime and criminal justice, Theory of History and Historiography, with emphasis on the analysis of Italian microhistory.
