I am a professor in the Department of History at Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro, where I also work in the Graduate Program in History and in PROFHISTÓRIA. My research interests include: history of Brazilian historiography, intellectual history, history of higher education in History, and theory of history. Among my publications, I highlight the book O velho vaqueano. Capistrano de Abreu: memória, historiografia e escrita de si (7Letras, 2013), which analyzes the correspondence of Brazilian historian João Capistrano de Abreu (1853-1927) and his place in disciplinary memory.
