Retired faculty member of the Graduate Program in History – UNESP. Free-doctorate (Unesp), graduated from USP, master’s and doctoral degree holder from UNICAMP, with a postdoctoral fellowship at UFF. Part of the CNPq Research Groups: Núcleo História e Linguagens Políticas: razão, sentimentos e sensibilidades (Unicamp) e Historiar: construções identitárias, conceitos, linguagens (Unesp). In addition to articles in journals and collections, published “Estrangeiro em sua própria terra” [Annablume, 1999]; “Cientificismo e sensibilidade romântica” [UnB, 2004] e “Fragmentos da identidade Brasil” [Intermeios, 2018]. Conducts research on spaces, landscapes, and identity constructions related to local and national imaginaries, with emphasis on the second half of the 20th century XIX and first of the XX.
