
Biography:
He is a full professor at Universidade Federal de Goiás and a research productivity fellow of CNPq. He has a degree in history from Universidade Regional de Blumenau (1997) and a doctorate in History from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2002). Since 2003, he is a professor at Faculdade de História da Universidade Federal de Goiás, where he works in the Graduate Programs in History and in ProfHistória. He was a visiting professor with the research team on history and philosophy of science (2006) and with the research team on history of societies, sciences, and conflicts (2009), both at Universidade da Picardia Júlio Verne (França). He served as deputy coordinator of the Department of History from 2006 to 2008. He held the position of Coordinator of the Graduate Program in History at Universidade Federal de Goiás for two terms, during the bienniums 2014-2015 and 2016-2017. He was a Prodoc/CAPES (postdoctoral) fellow at Universidade Federal de Goiás (2003-2005). From September 2012 to August 2013, he completed a post-doctorate (senior internship) with funding from CAPES at École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, in Paris. From August 2019 to August 2020, he conducted a post-doctoral study in history at UFRJ. Between 2016 and 2023, he was the chief editor (with Mauro Condé) of the journal “Transversal: International Journal for the Historiography of Science”. In 2020, he translated (with Raquel Campos) into Portuguese the book “Mobilidade e materialidade dos textos” by Roger Chartier. In 2023, his “Heterocronias: estudos sobre a multiplicidade dos tempos históricos” received a second edition. In the same year, he was one of the organizers (with Mauro Condé) of the “Handbook for the Historiography of Science” published by Springer. He is a member of ANPUH, of SBHC and of SBTHH.
