Cambridge University Press has published, in the series Elements in Historical Theory and Practice, the book “Gender, Theory, and History: On the Knowledge and Politics of Bodies” by María Inés La Greca.
The text critically reconstructs the emergence of the category gender, follows the debates that have redefined the concept and, in dialogue with current public discussions about sex and gender, proposes a relational conception of corporeality for the theory of history. Conceived as an introduction for undergraduate and graduate students, the book also suggests research questions and paths for specialists, researchers from various fields, and activists.
